Students Work

Welcome to the English Area

All pupils follow English courses organised to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum and to equip them with the communication skills needed for reading, writing and speaking and listening. Pupils experience a variety of literary, media and non-fiction texts, reflecting the best of our heritage and of other cultures.

We work closely with the Learning Support team in assisting pupils with special educational needs. A programme of withdrawal and in-class support operates to complement the English curriculum. All work within the Curriculum Area aims to involve students in an active and positive way, encouraging and recognising achievement by all.
